Green Team 15th Alternative Fuel Seminar

Green Team of Silicon Valley Holds 15th Alternative Fuel Seminar and Discusses Veterans Program

CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, November 11, 2013 /EINPresswire.com/ -- On October 25, the GREEN TEAM of Silicon Valley, a consortium of Silicon
Valley Clean Cities Coalition (DOE), Breathe California, and the Electronic Transportation
Development Center (ETDC), held its 15th Alternative Fuel Vehicle Seminar at its De Anza Silicon
Valley Green Transportation Center in Cupertino. The seminar highlighted California’s push toward
alternative fuels and the importance of veterans in the workplace. Bob Garzee, Green Team Leader,
explained how ADOMANI's Veterans Program is connected to their new electric technology
and announced the Green Team’s Electric School Bus Retrofit program with ADOMANI, an
experienced electric vehicle retrofitter and the latest winner of the coveted Silicon Valley Health Trust
Grant for California.
ADOMANI is retrofitting a 40-foot all-American Blue Bird school bus similar to the bus they converted
in Florida using their patented electric kit. The kit allows buses to switch from over four dollars a gallon
diesel to inexpensive electric fuel. This switch reduces harmful emissions to zero making bus rides safer
for children. CH Reynolds, another Silicon Valley company, is providing the innovative power
management and solar fueling for the project at a Gilroy high-school bus yard. This innovative
technology switches regular vehicles from petroleum fuel to electric energy supplied by on-board
ADOMANI batteries.
ADOMANI is training returning veterans how to install conversion kits at the De Anza Silicon Valley
Center in Cupertino. The Green Team has a grant from the California Energy Commission to help pay
the cost of training fleet mechanics. This would give the trained veteran the special installation
knowledge to handle conversions of all types of petroleum-fueled fleet vehicles to the unique and cost
reducing ADOMANI solution.
The Green Team has attended three Silicon Valley Veterans events and ADOMANI, with their Veterans
spokesman Bill Goldberg, World Champion Wrestler, have attended four Veterans Recruit Military
events, where they have contacted 5,000 returning veterans. Looking to support the reduction of carbon
emissions, Mr. Goldberg found his answer in ADOMANI’s simple patented bolt-on electric driveshaft
that converts ordinary gas engines into plug-in electrics or hybrids that don’t require removal of the
existing motor. Mr. Goldberg said, "The patented electric driveshaft is what we need to convert the
millions of vehicles on the road into all electrics or hybrids. I especially want to be involved in helping
convert school buses into all electrics or hybrids, so our children can be protected from the toxic
pollutants that are produced by diesel fumes. Today, as taxpayers, we have to be real and recognize we
cannot afford to buy all new school buses. The answer is simple - convert many of our existing school
buses and save the taxpayers billions of dollars! This doesn’t even take into account the gas savings.”
ADOMANI has partnered with the Green Team of Silicon Valley, because Silicon Valley is the most
receptive region in America for electric vehicles.
