Grace Shacklady, technical author of PAS 555 confirmed as trainer for the Managing Cyber Security Risk Training Course

ELY, UK, August 28, 2013 /EINPresswire.com/ -- IT Governance, the fast-growing cyber security services business, has announced that Grace Shacklady, technical author of PAS 555 - Cyber Security Risk – Governance and Management standard is going to lead the world’s first accredited Managing Cyber Security Risk Training Course.

Successful delegates will be awarded the Certified Cyber Risk Management Practitioner (CCRMP) qualification issued by the International Board for IT Governance Qualifications (IBITGQ).

Grace Shacklady said: “This is a ground-breaking course as it takes into account the changes in the cyber security landscape and is intended to bring delegates up-to-date with evolving standards and frameworks. It focuses on providing information security professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to develop a cyber security risk management strategy. The course is based upon the new cyber security risk specification PAS 555 and the CESG’s 10 Steps to Cyber Security.”

PAS 555 - Cyber Security Risk – Governance and Management was released by the British Standards Institution (BSI) in 2013 and defines the outcomes of an effective cyber security strategy. That is, rather than specifying how to approach a problem, it describes what that solution should look like. Alongside related guidance in CESG's 10 Steps to Cyber Security and CSI's 20 Critical Controls for Cyber Security, PAS 555 provides a ‘blueprint’ for cyber security.

The Managing Cyber Security Risk Training course is the newest addition to IT Governance’s Cyber Security Learning Pathway, which includes the ISO27001 Lead Implementer, ISO22301 Lead Implementer and ISO20000 Practitioner training courses.

There are still a few places available on the course on 28-30 October. Bookings can be made online at www.itgovernance.co.uk/shop/p-1408.aspx.
