Yuzhno-Priobskaya compressor station gets first associated petroleum gas
3 July 2013Pre-commissioning work has begun at the compressor station built on the southern license territory of Priobskoye field. The first cubic meters of associated petroleum gas produced at Yuzhno-Priobskoye field have gone to the compressor station.
Before the pre-commissioning work began, a dry run was conducted to test the functioning of the compressor station engine and all its mechanisms, sensors, and equipment, followed by nitrogen purge of the system. Then the pipelines, the preliminary separation unit, compressor trains, the dehydration unit, and the LACT unit were filled with gas.
The compressor station is slated for commissioning in the near future. This will allow a supply of associated petroleum gas to the Yuzhno-Balyksky gas processing facility. Up to 600 million cubic meters of gas per year can be treated and transmitted from the compressor station under a pressure of 80 atmospheres.
“The first gas from the compressor station will go to the export gas pipeline in July during pre-commissioning work. The subsequent launch of the compressor station will enable the company to improve the efficiency of utilization of associated petroleum gas by transmitting it for processing,” said Gazpromneft Khantos CEO Sergei Doktor.
