Use YouTube to swot up on tax, Parcel2Go tells small businesses

The parcel delivery specialist has urged SMEs to check out the suite of new videos produced by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) if they feel they need help understanding complicated tax matters, whether they're trading on a domestic or international level. HMRC first began imparting advice via online videos in 2011, but the latest set of films offer more focused advice to businesses. Data from HMRC shows that around four out of five new businesses already register online for VAT. Around 850,000 taxpayers missed this year's January 31 deadline for filing their self-assessment tax returns, and were hit with a £100 fine as a result.
