The company, hugely respected by whisky connoisseurs throughout the world, holds one of the most prestigious collections of vintage and collector whisky casks available. The company has been innovating over the past 70 years and continually surprises those in the 500 years old whisky industry with their new releases and ideas.
A by-product of the Scotch Whisky and Bourbon industry is spent casks, casks that have matured whisky over the years and have over time become redundant. Those casks made from the finest white oak, in the eyes of Duncan Taylor, have been too precious to go to waste and therefore have been turned into the most beautiful items of furniture by skilled Scottish Craftsmen. Those items will be launched for the first time in the US at the new Duncan Taylor "Luxury from Scotland" store on 3rd October to an invited VIP clientele from all over the US.
The craftsmen, Mr Kenny Donaldson and Mr Maurice Geddes, who created the masterpieces, will be present at the launch to explain how they were made and to sign articles purchased that evening. Also present will be the well known and respected Distilleries and Scenic Scotland artist Mr Ian Gray who will sign his paintings and prints.
This is truly a first for the United States and will be an evening of enlightenment mixed with good old-fashioned Scottish American hospitality.
