PCI ASV Scanning service helps meet the new PCI requirement

/EINPresswire.com/IT Governance Ltd, the PCI and information security experts, have reported that the new PCI Standard requirement for 'risk rankings to vulnerabilities' impacts upon the scanning requirements as set out in rule 11.2. This means that merchants will now have to demonstrate proof of passing an internal vulnerability assessment, performed by a qualified source. Assessments will need to be conducted quarterly and focus on the previous four quarters of activity.

IT Governance offers a PCI ASV Scanning Service on a subscription basis which will help merchants comply with the new rule. More information is available here www.itgovernance.co.uk/products/2593.

Alan Calder, CEO of IT Governance, says, 'By conducting a PCI ASV scan merchants will be able to demonstrate that they have a process for ranking vulnerabilities according to the risks posed to their own software and systems. The service is particularly designed to identify website vulnerabilities and to achieve and maintain payment card industry compliance requirements.'

The PCI ASV Scanning Service is available on one year contract providing 10 scans per quarter across up to 5 IP addresses. Prices start from £165 for one year contract. Organisations can subscribe immediately online here www.itgovernance.co.uk/products/2593.

For larger organisations IT Governance's PCI HackerGuardian Enterprise Scanning Service offers unlimited scans on over 20 IP addresses. Prices start from £265 for one year contract. Organisations can subscribe online here www.itgovernance.co.uk/products/2603.
