TYE Detroit partners with DAPCEP and The Entrepreneur Academy to Inspire Young Minds of Michigan.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MICHIGAN, U.S., October 14, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- TYE Detroit, the youth entrepreneurship program from TiE Detroit, a global nonprofit organization fostering entrepreneurship, has partnered with DAPCEP and The Entrepreneur Academy to bring an advanced level entrepreneurship program to Detroit City high-school students. The program is being supported by NEI, the New Economy Initiative.

The TYE Program is an initiative to inspire, challenge and empower students to become the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders. Teenage youth (grades 9-12) are given basics understanding of owning and operating a small business and taught the essentials of entrepreneurship. Through the TYE program, students develop self-confidence, presentation skills, leadership, and creativity. “If you are a CEO, or a mentor and you can spare an hour of your time with these students, share your knowledge and experiences with them; you are doing the real job which, one day will change the whole world. This award winning program for high school students seeks to train the next generation of entrepreneurs through workshops led by seasoned entrepreneurs and mentorship. "DAPCEP's partnership with TYE Detroit and The Entrepreneur Academy exemplifies our organization's mission to equip students with the skills and education that will lead to high demand careers and entrepreneurial activities. We're pleased that this new partnership will continue that tradition.", says Michelle Reaves, DAPCEP Executive Director. The program is 20 weeks long and will begin with 60 students. Selected teams will advance through the program with three pitch contests and awarded prize money. There will be a local and regional competition, and one team will receive an all expenses paid trip to the TYE Global Competition, where they will compete against 20 other teams from around the world for $10,000.
