Spring Bend Park is Open
Spring Bend Park, located at 2380 Upper Bottom Road, encompasses 126 acres of rolling prairies, woodlands and native habitats along the bluffs of the Missouri River in St. Charles. The park offers a natural oasis within a developed area of St. Charles County.
“Spring Bend Park is going to be a great place to come and experience nature—to meet people, to relax and to work outdoors. It is a valuable greenspace located in a heavily developed section of St. Charles County.” - Ryan Graham, Parks Director
The park features a non-reservable shelter available for public use, offering a place to gather with friends, hold informal meetings or work remotely outdoors. Seating options include picnic tables, bistro tables, porch swings, elevated tables and cube seating. Natural-surface trails wind through the prairies, allowing visitors to explore the landscape and experience the area's natural beauty.
Future improvements include an elevated viewing platform overlooking the prairies and Missouri River, along with a suspension bridge spanning a gully to connect visitors to additional trails. A conservation-focused approach helps preserve the property's natural character and protect its diverse habitats.
