Aqua Run Returns to Select Pools this Fall

Aqua Run, the inflatable challenge course that floats on water, is returning to three Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) pools this fall. A fun event for ages 6 and up, the course is easist for the younger crowd, but that shouldn’t stop adults from trying and kids from challenging their parents in a race to the end!

Swim tests are required and can be done wearing a lifejacket for newer swimmers. Lifejackets are preferred for anyone getting tired.

Pre-registration is required to attend each 1-hour swim event. Cost is $8 per person, or $2 per person if you qualify for a scholarship. Please call the pools listed if you have any questions.

Basic rules:

  1. Swim test required.
  2. If you get tired and want a lifejacket, you can use one.
  3. If you fall off before the end, swim away and over to the nearest pool edge to exit. No staying in the splash zone waiting for the other racer.
  4. Feet first only down the slide.
  5. No swimming under the inflatable.
  6. No jewelry or watches that can poke the inflatable or break off. No locker keys attached to a suit.
  7. Lean forward when entering the inflatable to avoid falling backwards.
  8. No running starts.
  9. Stay on your side of the challenge course.
  10. Only 2 racers at a time.
