Sandpoint, Idaho – An Idaho man has been charged with assault after allegedly forcing another man to perform the ‘moonwalk’ dance, while holding him at gunpoint. As reported by the Bonner County Daily Bee, John Ernest Cross, 30, appeared in court last week for the charges.
The judge in the case, Judge Barbara Buchanan, set Cross’ bail at $20,000 and he has been banned from having contact with the purported victim. Cross has claimed that the weapon used in the incident was not an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle as a probable cause affidavit indicates, but a Airsoft pellet gun, as noted in the report.
The ‘moonwalk’ is a dance made famous by the late entertainer Michael Jackson in the 1980s.
