As part of its 2026 Contract Resurfacing, Jefferson County is preparing for several roadways for resurfacing. Drivers should be prepared for intermittent lane closures, traffic delays, and changes in traffic patterns as work progresses. Please allow additional travel time when traveling through these county-maintained roadways.

South Shades Crest Road

• The contractor plans to start milling operations the week of September 21, 2026.
• South Shades Crest Road will be resurfaced from Morgan Road to its western terminus, covering approximately 8.2 miles.

Edwards Lake Road

Warrior Kimberly Road

Bone Dry Road

• Anticipated to begin late Spring/Early Summer 2027
• Bone Dry Road will be resurfaced from Bill Jones Road to 2nd Street North, covering approximately 2.5 miles.
