Temporary Access Changes for Kramer Center During Powell Street Paving

Queen Anne’s County is advising residents and visitors of temporary access changes at the Kramer Center, located at 104 Powell Street in Centreville, due to nearby paving operations. The Kramer Center currently houses the administrative offices for the Area Agency on Aging and the Department of Housing and Family Services (including the County’s Housing Office, the Housing Authority, and the Local Management Board).

Beginning Tuesday, September 8, and continuing through at least Friday, September 11, the Goodwill Fire Company parking lot and Powell Street will be closed for repaving. During this time, visitors needing to access the Kramer Center must use the entrance from North Liberty Street.

Visitors should not use the Powell Street entrance or park in either affected parking lot during the closure. Vehicles parked in the restricted areas may be towed.

The paving schedule is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen delays. Updates will be provided if the closure needs to be extended.

Residents with appointments, programs or other business at the Kramer Center during this period are encouraged to allow additional time when arriving.

A map showing the temporary access route to the Kramer Center is available below. Green arrows indicate the appropriate route from North Liberty Street, while the area marked in red should not be used during the paving project.

We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation while this work is completed.
