Apply to Become a Social Consumption Responsible Vendor Trainer

New application form now available

The Cannabis Control Commission (Commission) is accepting applications from potential trainers to deliver a specialized Responsible Vendor Training (RVT) curriculum to Agents of Social Consumption Establishments (SCEs). This application is being launched in anticipation of three new social consumption license types coming to the Commonwealth.

Topics covered in the Social Consumption RVT Curriculum will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Strategies for de-escalating potentially dangerous situations;
  • Procedures for addressing medical or public safety emergencies;
  • Collecting and communicating information to assist in investigations; and
  • Recognizing signs of impairment from alcohol or cannabis

 All Agents employed by an SCE will be required to complete the Social Consumption Curriculum, in addition to a Basic Core Curriculum, prior to performing job functions.

Interested RVT Trainers may submit a Social Consumption Curriculum by creating an account and/or signing into the Massachusetts Cannabis Industry Portal (MassCIP) and selecting the appropriate application.
