FORT KNOX, Ky. — ATTENTION, STUDENTS!!! Did you know you can be rewarded at the Fort Knox Exchange for earning good grades?

Called You Made the Grade, the program rewards traditional, non-traditional and homeschooled students from 1st to 12th grades for above-average academic achievement.

Officials at the Fort Knox Army and Air Force Exchange Service say the program is designed to inspire students to work that much harder for the best grades they can achieve.

Qualifying students can receive one You Made the Grade Rewards gift card per grading period by presenting a valid military ID card and proof of an overall “B” or higher equivalent average to their local Exchange. Straight “A” students will get a $20 card. Overall “B”-average students will get a $10 card.

All students who qualify will also receive a coupon sheet to take advantage of retail, service and food offers. Officials recommend that participants keep their signed forms for the sweepstakes entry that is drawn twice yearly: in December and June.

The parents or guardians of children who receive non-traditional grades must provide the equivalent of what a “B or higher” grade point average is for the grading system of their school or written affirmation of their scholastic accomplishments from their child’s teacher or school administrator.

Parents, guardians or community-authorized education providers of homeschooled children must provide written affirmation of the children’s scholastic achievements. Forms are available at the Exchange or online at ShopMyExchange.com.
