The Long Island Invasive Species Management Area (LIISMA) and the Land Alliance are co-hosting the in-person Oh DEER! Symposium on August 11, 2026, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at LIU Post Campus, Hillwood Commons (720 Northern Boulevard, Brookville, NY).

This engaging event brings together regional experts—featuring keynote speaker Dr. Bernd Blossey from Cornell University—to explore the ecological and economic impacts of white-tailed deer on native plant communities, complete with an afternoon field visit to a local preserve to observe deer fencing solutions.

Advance registration is required at $10 per person.
