• Monday, July 6 - Exhibition on Screen - Frida Kahlo Created in close collaboration with world experts and those who knew her, FRIDA KAHLO now features additional new material from the groundbreaking new Tate Modern and MFA Houston exhibition. These experts examine Kahlo’s transformation into a global brand and the new generation of artists and activists, such as Mary McCartney, Amalia Mesa-Bains and Yasumasa Morimura, that have identified with her and carried her legacy. The film culminates by previewing the exhibition’s look at ‘Fridamania’ giving viewers a front row seat to see some of the commercial objects that encompass her art, image, style and persona. • Wednesday, July 8 - Schiele Museum presents: Unearthing Dinosaurs! Unearth the story of two dinosaurs. Learn their history and explore how they may have interacted during the Cretaceous period. For all ages. 2-3pm, TECH@Lowell Branch (Makerspace), 203 McAdenville Rd, Lowell.

• Thursday, July 9 – Trivia Night Trivia Night is where knowledge meets entertainment. Join us for a night of wit, wisdom, and wonder! 7-8pm, Confluence, 117 Center St, Cramerton

• Friday, July 10 - Fossil Fridays Join us for an hour of stories, crafts and centers for the whole family! 10:30-11:30am, Gaston County Public Library, Carol K. Reinhardt Auditorium, 1555 East Garrison Blvd, Gastonia.

• Saturday, July 11 – Kid’s Catfish Tournament This is a FREE event starting at 8am for ages 3-15 with prizes given throughout the tournament. This will be a great opportunity to introduce your kids to fishing. Please wear shoes you don’t mind getting wet or muddy, no sandals. Bring your own fishing pole, bait and any tackle you may want/need. All kids must be accompanied by an adult who can help bait their fishing pole and assist handling any fish caught. Adults are not permitted to fish during the tournament. The event will be held at Dallas Park at the end of Leisure Lane past the dog park at the two lakes.

• Saturday, July 11 – Movies in the Park: Beauty and the Beast Grab your friends, grab your chairs or blanket, and head down to Stowe Park for a fun movie night under the stars! Aurora Star Lit Cinema will be featuring a jumbo outdoor screen & epic immersive sound. Plus FREE arcade games and cornhole to enjoy! Popcorn, candy, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. The movies are FREE to attend! Bring your own blanket or chair.
