Upcoming 1099-R Tax Form Distribution
WRS retiree earnings statements and 1099-R tax forms are sent directly to you from our custodian bank, Northern Trust. Hard copy 1099-R tax forms will be timely mailed to you no later than January 31, 2026.
WRS retirees may receive more than one 1099-R tax form for your WRS pension plan(s) if you have more than one pension account or have turned 59 and one-half in 2025. As a reminder, WRS cannot provide tax advice and recommends consulting a tax professional for tax specific questions or guidance related to tax form changes.
For account specific information, please login to your WRS participant pension account for self-service options at pension.wyo.gov or contact our Retiree Services Team at (307) 777-1988. Due to high call volumes, please allow our team up to two business days to return your voicemail message as we return calls in the order they are received.
*Please note that 1099-R forms cannot be forwarded, so please make sure your address is correct with WRS.
