The Electric Utility 101: Distribution webinar will cover some of the major hardware components, their functions and the role distribution systems are playing by extending their programs beyond the meter into the demand (customer) side.

The webinar will also provide a high-level overview of the major issues facing distribution systems and the impact of those issues on the electric grid. Since distribution systems are a major focus for the application of smart grid technologies, the webinar will also touch upon the current and future changes these technologies may bring.
