🚨 Noxious Weed Update 🚨
There have been changes proposed to the Kansas Noxious Weed List, and today we have information on those updates.
✅ What’s changing?
As proposed, five new weeds have been added, and one native plant has been removed from the list:
New Additions
- Category A: Diffuse Knapweed, Spotted Knapweed
- Category B: Common Teasel, Cutleaf Teasel
- Category C: Amur Honeysuckle
Removed
- Native Pignut has been removed from the Kansas Noxious Weed List.
📅 Important Dates
The addition of the new weeds and the approved control methods were published in the Kansas Register on April 30, 2026.
➡️ These changes go into effect May 15, 2026.
