Get certified to participate in government contracts

Local businesses that meet certification requirements can become a certified small business enterprise (SBE) with Miami-Dade County. The Office of Small Business Development (SBD) administers Miami-Dade County's Small Business Enterprise (SBE), the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Airport Concessions Disadvantage Business Enterprise (ACDBE) certification programs. Certified firms can bid on contracts specifically carved out for SBE, DBE, and ACDBE firms.
In addition, firms may also receive technical assistance and access to capital with their County contracting needs. SBE firms also have additional access to contracts with Jackson Health, the City of Miami, Miami Dade College and other public entities.
