The Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority (Trust) awarded $1,844,887 in grants to beneficiary-serving organizations in the third quarter of fiscal year 2026.

The Trust’s grant program is a core component of its strategy to improve the statewide continuum of care for its beneficiaries: Alaskans experiencing mental illness, substance misuse, intellectual and developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, and Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. From constructing an inclusive early childhood indoor play center to supporting winter shelters and expanding rural school and youth behavioral health care, the 16 grants recently awarded reflect the Trust’s commitment to beneficiaries at every stage of life.

“These third-quarter grants reflect the many ways the Trust supports our beneficiaries across the state,” said Mary Wilson MD, CEO of the Trust. “By investing in critical infrastructure, direct services, and more, we are helping our community partners build stronger, more inclusive environments where all Trust beneficiaries have the opportunity to thrive.”
