The radio show is hosted by Cimex Exterminating founders Kevin Campbell and Mark Drexler, who have nearly 40 years of pest control experience between them. "The Bug Hunters" topics focus on bed bug prevention and treatment, as well as other types of pests that invade homes and business.

One of the reasons Campbell and Drexler started the bed-bug-exclusive exterminating company is because the bed bug infestation problem is growing throughout the country, especially in the southeastern portion of Virginia. Many general practice exterminating companies don't know how to treat bed bugs effectively, so there is a need for a company that specializes in this problem. The small reddish-brown insect is known by the scientific name of Cimex lectularius Linnaeus, feeds on blood and is difficult to eradicate permanently.
"We started 'The Bug Hunters' because we felt that there was a void of information for consumers in this area and nationwide," said Campbell. "People have a lot of questions that they are afraid to ask or they don't know where to turn. This radio show is about providing them with answers."
