Dr. Michael McCracken Appears on Denver T.V.
How to fix wrinkles, restore volume to the face and get rid of bags under the eyes is illustrated with the VECTRA, a new 3-D facial imaging system.
/EINPresswire.com/ Denver, CO - Dr. Michael McCracken, a Denver area plastic surgeon recently appeared on Denver's Ch. 9 Morning News to demonstrate the VECTRA, a new facial imaging system. The "VECTRA" simulates facial procedures, allowing patients to see the possible outcome of cosmetic procedures in advance. McCracken Eye and Face Institute is the first private medical facility to use the computerized device in Colorado.
In the Channel 9 segment, Dr. McCracken uses photos of some of the show's anchors to illustrate how the aging process can affect their facial features over time, and more importantly what can be done to restore youthful qualities using non-surgical and surgical techniques. Dr. McCracken also shows before and after results of an actual patient's cosmetic procedure.
The system instantly captures 3-D images of the face, which the Dr. uses to demonstrate procedure simulations to his patients in one office visit. The device has several settings that can visually demonstrate skin conditions and volume loss caused by age. Dr. McCracken can demonstrate how facial procedures, such as laser rejuvenation and dermal fillers, can be used to correct areas of concern, including under eye bags, sun damaged skin, loss of facial volume and more.
"With the VECTRA, I can simulate the results of laser resurfacing, adding volume with a facial filler and other facial procedures," says Dr. McCracken. "While the simulations are not meant to serve as a guarantee, the images can help my patients appreciate sun damage, facial descent due to gravity, volume loss and the ways facial procedures can correct these concerns by presenting them with realistic 3D images. With this new system I can show patients an estimate of a "before" and "after" before any procedures are actually performed."
"As more people become familiar with this technology, I believe there will be great interest in using computer imaging to simulate results before undergoing facial procedures," says Dr. McCracken.
