Hillsboro, NH– On Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 6:30 p.m., NH Fish and Game was notified of a single ATV accident on Kimball Hill Road in the town of Hillsboro. Hillsboro Police along with a Conservation Officer responded to assist in the investigation.
Once on scene, Officers determined that Cooper Johnson, 28, was operating a 2022 Can Am Maverick and doing “donuts” at the end of Kimball Hill Road when the UTV rolled onto the passenger side, pinning the hand of the passenger underneath it. The passenger sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Concord Hospital. Johnson and others were able to roll the UTV back onto its wheels and left the scene in order to find help.
Officers determined that reckless operation was the primary cause of this crash and the operator was summonsed to appear in Hillsboro District Court as such. OHRV operators are reminded to ride within the regulations and always wear appropriate safety equipment.
