Louisville, KY — Four people were hospitalized after the ceiling at a popular Louisville restaurant collapsed Sunday, February 26, 2012. The incident occurred around 6:20 p.m. at Chuy’s on Oxmoor Court, reported WDRB.com.
According to officials, two adults and two children were rushed to Norton Suburban Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The identities of the injured were not released.
Witness Jeremy Boone of Milton told WDRB, “I looked back, and there was a ceiling falling. I think there was a lady holding a girl. I remember seeing the corner of it. It wasn't a plywood, it was more of a pressed particle board. The corner of it caught the blonde lady's hair and hit her right in the head. She was holding a girl when it hit her.”
The restaurant remained open during the incident.
A building inspector will be arriving at the scene to conduct an inspection.
Investigations are underway.
