UniSource Energy Services Unveils Solar Program
UniSource Energy Services (UES) is now offering a solar green power program, Bright Arizona Community Solar. The Bright Arizona Community Solar program allows electric customers to purchase solar power from two recently completed solar generating systems in Mohave County, Arizona, with a combined capacity of 1.7 megawatts.
Beginning in February 2012, customers may purchase the solar generated power in 150 kilowatt-hour blocks at a rate of $3 per block. There are 1,720 blocks of generated solar power available from the two new solar systems, and customers may purchase blocks equivalent to up to 100 percent of their electricity needs.
Purchases are exempt from UniSource's Renewable Energy Standard Tariff and the Purchased Power and Fuel Adjustment Clause, surcharges that are adjusted annually.
