Alton Minor Injured after Crashing Snowmobile into Tree

Alton, NH – At about 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025, a 17-year-old Alton minor sustained a lower-leg injury after losing control and crashing a snowmobile into a tree. The snowmobiler was riding with a group of friends on a trail just south of Cedar Mountain along the Mount Major snowmobile trail system. Alton Police, Fire and EMS, and NH Fish and Game Officers responded to assist and investigate the scene. The group the operator was riding with assisted and relayed the snowmobile and injured person to the intersection of Jesus Valley Road in Alton where they were met by Alton Police, Fire and EMS.
The injured operator was transported by Alton Fire and EMS to Concord Hospital in Laconia for treatment. The operator was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
