Education Services for Overseas Students Amendment (Quality and Integrity) Bill 2024 [Provisions]
AUSTRALIA, May 15 - On 16 May 2024, the Senate referred the provisions of the Education Services for Overseas Students Amendment (Quality and Integrity) Bill 2024 to the Committee for inquiry and report by 15 August 2024.
The committee has set a new submission closing date of 1 July 2024.
On 14 August 2024, the Senate agreed to extend the committee's reporting date to 6 September 2024.
On 6 September 2024, the committee sought a further extension to the reporting date to 16 September 2024.
On 12 September 2024, the committee agreed to accept further submissions until 26 September 2024, and to hold an additional public hearing on 2 October 2024.
On 16 September 2024, the Senate agreed to extend the committee's reporting date to 8 October 2024.
