Yogurt can be found in nearly 80 percent of U.S. households today, up more than 6 percent from 2005, according to market research firm NPD Group. 
 
One reason for that is the increasing variety. Yoplait is adding to those breakfast and snack choices, including a 100 percent natural light yogurt with crunchy granola on top and fruit on the bottom – all in a two-pack.

This light line with granola is available in Blueberry, Cherry, Peach and Strawberry flavors, lending more variety for the one in three yogurt eaters who come to this food category with weight management on their minds.
 
For dessert, too
What’s interesting about yogurt is that it’s not just a breakfast or snack food - its share of in-home dinner dessert has tripled in the past 10 years, based on consumer research.

In response to that demand, Yoplait Delights introduces Grasshopper Pie with chocolate-flavored chips, which in consumer tests received a higher overall score than the same yogurt without chips. It seems people found that the chips created a “multi-sensory” experience.

The Delights come in a four-pack – multipacks being a yogurt segment in itself.

Multipack convenience
With consumers eating more yogurt, they have gravitated to products that are packaged together. So Yoplait is adding Mountain Blueberry and Cherry Orchard to its multipack lineup.

The brand now offers 12 different flavors in multipacks.

Building on a successful line of original Yoplait in strawberry flavors, Yoplait is introducing Strawberry Lemonade, and on the indulgent side of flavors, Boston Cream Pie, which is already available as a light offering.

That light line has introduced Raspberry Lemonade – a sweet and tart taste – and Vanilla Cherry, a flavor that brings together the top two turning Yoplait Light flavors – Very Vanilla and Very Cherry.

Birthday Cake
For kids, Yoplait Splitz in Birthday Cake flavor, with sprinkles, has hit grocers’ shelves.

The product contains no high fructose corn syrup, is made from cows not treated with rBST or rBGH, and is a good source of calcium and vitamin D.
