Abdalah Nyambi’s Preyo Company Ltd. operates as a circular economy-driven enterprise, encompassing various endeavors such as plastic recycling, research and development, and consultancy services. Its primary focus is on adopting environmentally friendly production techniques and exploring innovative technologies that promote sustainability. At present, PREYO company utilizes recycled plastics sourced from external companies to manufacture automobile bushings. However, it has future plans to incorporate the entire plastic recycling process internally, which involves collection, sorting, shredding, hot washing, drying, and palletizing. Elizabeth Mwakatimbo says that the high demand for affordable housing in urban areas leads to challenges, including reliance on middleman agents. Tenants in Tanzanian urban areas, such as low cadre employees, graduates, and students, face additional challenges such as paying agency fees (10-15% of annual rental costs), hiring multiple agents, and covering transportation expenses for distant houses. To tackle these issues, Elizabeth propose CASA, a GIS-based platform designed to help tenants overcome housing search difficulties. CASA is a web and mobile application where tenants can share GIS information about available houses or their intention to move. Through gamification, individuals who provide reliable and verified house information will be rewarded with points on the platform.

David Rwegoshora’s business, ELI GREEN GOLD FARM ENTERPRISE (EGGFE), focuses on integrating the Cassava Value Chain, linking Cassava Production and Marketing. Their training programs cover GAPs for cassava quality seed farming, including crop management, harvesting, storage, processing, and agroforestry techniques. They promote climate resilience measures like rainwater harvesting and emphasize the benefits of drought-tolerant cassava quality seed farming. They also source dried cassava from trained smallholder farmers, process it, and sell premium cassava flour to customers.
