Uzbekistan’s Defense Minister receives the Minister of Defense of Italy
UZBEKISTAN, April 25 - The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Bakhodir Kurbanov, received the Minister of Defense of the Italian Republic Guido Crosetto. It should be noted that the development of bilateral relations based on equality, mutual trust and respect has reached a new level in recent years.
In accordance with the enhancing cooperation in political, economic, cultural-social and other spheres, Uzbekistan and Italy have common goals in the fight against extremism, religious radicalism, international terrorism and other transnational challenges threatening peace and stability.
Before starting the official reception, a guard of honor was lined up in honor of the distinguished guest. The anthems of the two countries were played.
At the meeting, the defense ministers discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation in security and defense, as well as the prospects for its development.
It was also emphasized that holding staff talks between the defense departments of the two countries to further strengthen and develop military partnerships is becoming traditional.
Following the meeting, the bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Italy in the military and military-technical spheres was highly assessed.
