QUESTION: Has the State Department sought new money from Congress for Libya?

ANSWER: The State Department sought Congressional support to direct existing funds towards needs in Libya. These have come primarily from regional/global flexible funding mechanisms that allow us to respond to crises and opportunities. We have not requested additional funding from Congress.
