That's right, on October 22nd from Noon to 4PM Haymarket's main thoroughfare Washington Street will be closed to traffic and open to pedestrians. Vendors will line the street from Needles in The Haymarket to the intersection of Washington and Jefferson Streets.

Enter a slice of Old World Germany in our open air Biergarten Haus! Sit, listen to the German music, relax, laugh, and enjoy the different tastes of draught beers!! PROST!!

Kids and Adults… don your best German outfits for the German Costume Contest. Winners will receive a Party for 6 at a local Haymarket restaurant. Of course the day offers pumpkins for sale, hay bales to sit and relax on, and autumn flowers in abundance. What else would the folks at Fosters Grille will be grilling outside during Oktoberfest. … what else but Brats …. offered with plenty of Sauerkraut, and authentic German Potato Salad. Autumn foods will also be on hand such as funnel cakes, pies, jams, jellies and the like. College Football fans can watch the big screen TV, tailgating style, on the porch at Giuseppe's Italian Restaurant. German beers will be available at many of the Town's restaurants.

There will be a Stilt Walker returning by popular demand from Haymarket Day, a kids' area playground, apple bobbing, and pumpkin decorating too. Kids can wear their Halloween costumes and enter the kids Halloween Costume Contest. Winner will receive a basket of Haymarket Goodies.

Oktoberfest is being proudly presented by The Fauquier Bank, and also in part by Wegmans, Haymarket Dental Complete Care, Fosters Grille and Signs & Banners of Gainesville.
