President of the Russian Federation to visit the Republic of Uzbekistan

UZBEKISTAN, September 11 - On 15-16 September this year, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will visit Uzbekistan as a part of the program of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit to be held in the city of Samarkand.

The agenda of the bilateral talks between the leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia includes the issues of further strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance, increasing trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

The main attention will be paid to expanding industrial cooperation, intensifying interregional and business contacts, promoting joint economic projects and humanitarian programs.

Along with this, the Presidents will exchange views on the current issues of the international and regional agenda.

President Vladimir Putin will also take part in the events of the next meeting of the Council of Heads of the SCO Member States.
