Steven Stransky, adjunct professor of law, co-wrote an op-ed with Kemba Eneas Walden, an Assistant General Counsel in Microsoft’s Digital Crimes Unit (DCU), for Lawfare.
In the article, titled “Cyber Reporting Proposals: Assessing Liability Protections and Legal Privileges,” Stransky opined that although there have been success stories in the increase in national cybersecurity, “there remains a real need for a mandatory cybersecurity incident reporting law to address the gaps caused by organizations that do not voluntarily participate in these programs.”
