TGW Logistics Group, a global logistics automation systems provider, has announced expanding its Centre of Excellence for engineering and IT services in Kaunas, Lithuania. Established in 2017, the centre already contributes to the company’s projects across Europe, North America and Asia. The company plans to double its more than 50-strong team and add such high value-added services as R&D Smart Mechatronics.

TGW Logistics Group is an Austria-based company providing highly automated, efficient and future-proof warehouse picking fulfilment centres. In the core industries of Fashion & Apparel, Grocery and Industrial & Consumer Goods, TGW Logistics Group plans and implements fulfilment centres around the world and takes care of service and maintenance during ongoing operations. In 2017, TGW Logistics Group opened its Centre of Excellence for engineering services in Kaunas, with functions performed mainly from this centre: detailed mechanical design, PLC Software development and commissioning, system simulation and other engineering functions. Today, the variety of services provided by Kaunas centre is especially broad: from the detailed system design to its launch and handover to the clients. That includes designing the mechanics, component selection, various levels of software development and testing, both in virtual environment and in the real-life objects, and other various system development tasks.
