Upcoming e-Forums from ALCTS
CHICAGO - ALCTS, the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services, announces its upcoming e-Forums. The ALCTS e-Forum is a moderated discussion on timely topics of interest in the areas of library collections and technical services.
*What is an e-Forum?*
Offered free of charge, an ALCTS e-Forum provides an opportunity for librarians to discuss matters of interest, led by a moderator, through the e-Forum discussion list. The e-Forum discussion list works like an e-mail listserv: register your e-mail address with the list, and then you will receive messages and communicate with other participants through an e-mail discussion. Most e-forums last two days. Registration is necessary to participate, but it's free. See a list of upcoming e-Forums.
To subscribe to the ALCTS e-Forum, follow these instructions. Instructions for registration are available at e-Forum registration. Once you have registered for one e-Forum, you do not need to register again, unless you choose to leave the email list. Participation is free and open to anyone.
Upcoming E-Forums:
Sept. 21-22, 2011
Current Issues in In-Kind Materials Donations.
Hosted by Stacy Gordon and Heath Martin.
Oct. 18-19, 2011

Dec. 14-15, 2011

The ALCTS e-Forum discussion takes place using email. When the moderators kick off discussion, you will receive an e-mail message. To participate, you simply send messages to alcts-eforum@ala.org or respond to an e-mail sent to you. The settings are designed so that responses go to the entire list. There is no special software or interface that you have to use.
