OC Foodie Fest Is Back For Seconds!
On August 27, Tasty Eats, Merchants, And Live Entertainment Take Over Angel Stadium, Partner With Second Harvest
/EINPresswire.com/ ANAHEIM, CALIF, - Keeping with its motto, "The Ultimate Foodie Destination," OC Foodie Fest is back for seconds to showcase the most popular mobile eats and spotlight the newest food trends with stars from The Food Network. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in a wide variety of culinary creations and local specialties while being treated to a full day of fun and entertainment.
Guests can expect quite a mouthful from 100 food vendors including gourmet food Trucks, local restaurants, SoCo Certified Farmers' Market, and a Budweiser Beer Garden with food and games. There will be no shortage of entertainment for the entire family from a Kids Zone with games, rides and Angels Baseball activities, www.Boutiquing.com shopping areas dispersed throughout the event, a Car Show, a VIP Area sponsored by SKYY Spirits with the perfect view of the main stage's live entertainment and eating competitions. The day will culminate in Yelp's presentation of the "Best of the Fest Award" with a cash prize and giant trophy.
This year, OC Foodie Fest introduces its new mascot Freddie Foodini, an icon that will be the target on social media games and contests with a twist on Where's Waldo-style "Find Freddie" scavenger hunts and Freddie Foodini disguise kits.
In partnership with the OC Foodie Fest, Second Harvest will host a food drive at the event. Any attendee who donates five cans of food will receive a free ticket to an Angels game, up to four tickets. "We welcome the opportunity to partner with Foodie Fest 2011. Summer is always a difficult time for Second Harvest Food Bank since the food demand peaks with kids out of school, while donations hit historic lows" explains Joe Schoeningh, Director of Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. Prior to the August 27th event, OC Foodie Fest will team up with the Angels to take 500 marines to an Angels game on Friday, August 19th. "Game Day" will also include a tailgate party. "We'll have games for the troops, Angels gear to giveaway, and dinner provided by some of the Foodie Fest participants," says James Foxall, Founder and President of the OC Foodie Fest, and former marine. "With the help of the Angels organization, we are thrilled to treat 500 servicemen and women to a tailgate party and Angel game."
OC Foodie Fest will take place Saturday, August 27 from 12pm-6pm at Angel Stadium, with early entry beginning at 10am. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for children 12 and under, and free for children 5 and under. A limited quantity of early entry tickets will be available for $25, while entry the day of the event is $15 per person. VIP tickets are $75 and include early event entry, free parking, catered buffet, an exclusive event gift bag and a private seating area plus preferred entertainment seating.
