The Mid-Atlantic Wind Energy Institute and Southern Appalachian Regional Wind Energy Institute will co-host former Governor of Pennsylvania Ed Rendell as he joins the upcoming webinar "Reviving American Manufacturing with Wind Power." Ed Rendell is a stalwart proponent of wind energy and during his tenure as Governor of Pennsylvania he signed legislation that helped spur dramatic growth for Pennsylvania's wind industry. Hear him highlight Pennsylvania's keys to success in becoming a leader in wind energy manufacturing.
Ed Rendell will be joined by wind industry experts David Takash, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Gamesa Wind, and Jessica Issacs, Policy Analyst at the American Wind Energy Association.
The wind industry is now a major employer of American manufacturing. Wind system installations increased by an average of 32% annually over the last five years and now total over 40,000 MW in installed capacity. This growth has led to the creation of over 400 wind component manufacturing facilities that employ over 20,000 people across 42 states.
Please join us on June 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. EDT to hear about the benefits that wind power manufacturing provides.
