'The End of the World' Makes A Fashion Statement
The End of the World almost made history in 2011, but fizzled out again with at least some style this time.
/EINPresswire.com/ (HOLTSVILLE, NY) -- When the world didn't end in a religious rapture on Saturday, May 21, 2011, as predicted by a Bible scholar and "end of days" prognosticator, a Long Island Internet entrepreneur decided to celebrate the non-event with the launch of the End the World store offering a line of t-shirts and novelty gifts featuring the slogan, "I Survived the End of the World on Saturday, May 21, 2011…at least until the next End of the World in 2012."
Matthew Lee, founder and Chief Rockstar of Internet marketing firm Rockstar Digital Media in Holtsville, NY, expressed the emotions of many. "Thank heavens we've all survived doomsday for the second time since 1994," Lee said with a chuckle. "But I have to admit," he added in a more serious tone, "this time felt eerily different with all the political unrest and natural disasters around the world."
At the very least, Lee said, surviving the end of the world should give people a renewed appreciation for life. "That's why we created the cool t-shirts and novelty gifts, to remind everyone to enjoy each day and never take anything for granted."
