Metaphysical Minds with Shay Parker to interview Hollywood Legend Shirley MacLaine

Tune in Wednesday, May 18th from 6pm to 7pm Eastern as Shay Parker interviews Oscar Award Winning Actress, Author, Radio Host, Humanitarian, and so much more - THE ONE AND ONLY - MS. SHIRLEY MACLAINE!

Metaphysical Minds with Shay Parker is a show about changing the world and every guest is a Crusader of Change.

Each week, Shay Parker interviews the most prolific Metaphysical Minds across the globe. With the approach of 2012, a Shift of Consciousness is taking place and now, more than ever, it is time for the world's greatest Metaphysical Minds to come together. This show highlights those that are out there making a difference, and changing the world for the better.

Shay Parker, the host of Metaphysical Minds, is no stranger to the metaphysical community. Shay is the founder of Best American Psychics and Best American Healers. Both sites are Internet directories which focus on promoting professional, ethical, and reliable practitioners who specialize in metaphysical fields.

Even with the existence of the two sites mentioned above, Shay noticed a greater need to publicly share the messages of gifted metaphysical practitioners, as well as those that are currently changing the world through their charities, causes, and more. As such, Metaphysical Minds was born.

The mission of Metaphysical Minds, according to Parker, is to "promote an awareness of the unseen power and possibilities that exist for this world." Parker adds, "Some of the greatest gifts and joys we will ever receive are directly in front of us, yet without the knowledge of how to access those gifts, many remain unrealized. It is my hope that the Metaphysical Minds that I interview on this show will help listeners unlock doors they would have never thought possible, and become their own 'Crusaders of Change'." Parker goes on to say, "I cannot think of a better fit for Metaphysical Minds than Ms. Shirley MacLaine. As a Hollywood legend and metaphysical expert, she has breached the veil between two very different world's and melds them seemlessly into one. It is my great honor to be able to interview such an incredible individual."

Shirley MacLaine's illustrious career comprises more than 50 feature films highlighted by an Academy Award(R) win and six nominations, six Emmy(R) Awards nominations, seven Golden Globe(R) Awards - including the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award - and the title of international best-selling author. Recently, MacLaine appeared in the ensemble film, VALENTINE'S DAY, and the Lifetime made-for-TV movie COCO CHANEL, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe(R) and SAG Award(R). She released her best-selling book "SAGE-ING WHILE AGE-ING" in 2008, followed by her latest New York Times best-seller, "I'M OVER ALL THAT - AND OTHER CONFESSIONS," released on April 5th, 2011.

MacLaine made her professional debut dancing in a Broadway revival of OKLAHOMA! in the 1950s. Her first film appearance was in Alfred Hitchcock's THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY, earning her a Golden Globe Award for "New Star of the Year - Actress" in 1955. At the same time, she starred in SOME COME RUNNING, which led to her first Academy Award(R) nomination and an additional Golden Globe(R) nomination. She also starred alongside Audrey Hepburn in THE CHILDREN'S HOUR, based on a play by Lillian Hellman. MacLaine received a second Oscar(R) nomination for her work in the award winning film, THE APARTMENT, co-starring Jack Lemmon and directed by Billy Wilder. She reunited with Lemmon and Wilder for IRMA LA DOUCE in 1963, earning yet another Academy Award(R) nomination.
In 1975, MacLaine received her fourth Oscar(R) nomination, this time for best documentary as a producer and star of THE OTHER HALF OF THE SKY: A CHINA MEMOIR. Two years later, she was once again nominated for her starring role in THE TURNING POINT. In 1983, MacLaine finally won an Oscar for her work in TERMS OF ENDEARMENT. Later, she also received a Golden Globe(R) Award for her 1989 performance in MADAME SOUSATZKA. MacLaine was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Golden Globe Award for Lifetime Achievement in 1998.
