Energy Secretary Chu recently announced a Postdoctoral Fellowships Program in which postdoctoral fellows will conduct applied research at universities, national laboratories, and other research facilities with the aim of importing that knowledge to their home institutions and ultimately seeding a first-rate future workforce. DOE's Wind Program will support two fellows: one to conduct research on wind resource characterization and a second to focus on offshore turbine reliability. Applications for EERE Postdoctoral Fellowships are due June 30, 2011. Fellowships will begin by mid-November, 2011, and last up to 2 years.
