This week, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (MN-06) met with Norwegian Ambassador to the United States, Wegger Chr. Strommen. Bachmann, who has many constituents of Norwegian ancestry, said of the visit:

“It was a pleasure to join Ambassador Strommen in a discussion on the good relations between our two countries, Norway and the United States. Ambassador Strommen invited me to Norway as we continue fostering this important friendship.

“I learned that Ambassador Strommen has visited many cities in Minnesota’s Sixth Congressional District, including visits with the Sons of Norway lodges. He expressed interest in returning to Minnesota and meeting my parents who are of 100% Norwegian decent and other proud Norwegian Americans in the district.”
