Pennsylvania School Choice Update

Things are really moving along in the battle for school choice in Pennsylvania! We are currently working to get co-sponsors for SB1 - The Opportunity Scholarship and Educational Improvement Tax Credit Act. This bill has broad, bi-partisan support in the Pennsylvania Senate, but it is up to us to make sure that supporters are reinforced, and those legislators on the fence are persuaded to support SB1. Please TAKE ACTION NOW and send a letter of support to your elected officials in Pennsylvania's General Assembly.

Also, if you can make it to Harrisburg next Wednesday, Feb. 16th, we can use your help. There is an important Senate education committee hearing on the bill and we'd like to have supporters of SB1 there to show lawmakers that we demand a better education for all Pennsylvanians! If you'd like to attend next week's event at the capitol, please contact Anastasia Przybylski at (215) 534-1851 or

We can win this battle for school choice with your help. Please use our
Freedom Connect
tool to get in touch with other people in your community that share your values of lower taxes, less government and more freedom. If you would like someone from FreedomWorks to come speak to your group about school choice, or any other issue, please let us know!

SB1 offers Pennsylvanians a more competitive education environment for less taxpayer dollars. It will improve the economy by lifting up people with real opportunities for a better life. And it will be a major blow to the teachers unions, which care more about their own money and power than about educating students. Please
TAKE ACTION NOW to let your elected officials in Harrisburg know that you supp ort school choice in Pennsylvania.

Sincerely,

Matt Kibbe

PS: Please read this
great article in Forbes magazine by FreedomWorks chairman Dick Armey and Kitchen Table Patriots leader Ana Puig. It argues for supporting SB1 in Pennsylvania's General Assembly, and highlights studies that show how and why school choice works.
