Enterprise Ireland's 'Leadership 4 Growth' Programme Launched
Enterprise Ireland's 'Leadership 4 Growth' Programme, which is funded by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, was launched at the Irish Management Institute in Dublin today.
The Leadership 4 Growth Programme (L4G) is Enterprise Ireland's leadership and strategy programme aimed at developing and enhancing the leadership mindset and capability of Irish CEO's (and their senior management teams) to lead companies capable of achieving sustained international growth. L4G is aimed at the CEO's of 34 companies, primarily in the food and beverage sector, at the Irish Management Institute in Dublin.
The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Brendan Smith TD, expressed his support for the Programme which he described as representing an important element of Enterprise Ireland's overall strategy to accelerate the development of world-class Irish Companies by helping them to build and enhance their leadership capabilities. "I am delighted that both IMD Business School and the IMI are delivering this programme. In order to continue to build on and improve the Irish food industry we need the commitment and investment by the kind of companies participating in the L4G Programme".
This Leadership 4 Growth Programme is aimed at companies in the Food Sector and other manufacturing and internationally traded services companies currently exporting. It is designed to enhance the strategic leadership capabilities of ambitious CEOs/Managing Directors, which will ultimately drive and accelerate the expansion of Irish companies both at home and abroad.
The programme is delivered by the IMD business school over three residential modules on their campus in Lausanne, Switzerland. IMD are ranked fifth in the world for customised education and are a top class business school. And the IMI are the only Irish business school ranked by the Financial Times as one of the top business schools providing Customised Executive Education.
Welcoming the companies to the programme Julie Sinnamon, Executive Director Enterprise Ireland said: "We see the Leadership 4 Growth Programme as being highly significant in the context of the Food Harvest 2020 report, and the development of the agri-food and fisheries sector over the next decade. Leadership capability is absolutely critical for Irish companies that want to truly internationalise. Export growth will provide the long term rewards - for the companies, for the sector, and for employment. The Leadership 4 Growth Programme can make a real impact and deliver results for ambitious Irish CEOs determined to grow their international business".
