New Wind-Powered Product Label in Development
WindMade introduced a new consumer product label at the World Future Energy Summit in January. The label is supported by the Global Wind Energy Council, WWF, the LEGO Group, the UN Global Compact, Vestas Wind Systems, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Bloomberg. Companies seeking to use the wind label will undergo a certification process that will verify how much wind energy they use. The standard is currently under development and will be open for public comment in the first quarter of 2011.
