Year After Launching Pledge, Club for Growth Calls on House to Repeal It!

WASHINGTON – One year after launching its Repeal It pledge, the Club for Growth today called on the U.S. House of Representatives, and especially the 118 representatives who signed the pledge, to vote to repeal ObamaCare.

"This time last year, even before Congress passed its health care takeover bill, the Club for Growth began building an effort to Repeal It,” Club President Chris Chocola said.  “Today the House of Representatives – including 118 members who signed the Club’s Repeal It pledge – will take another important step toward that goal.”

“We commend the House Republican leadership for making repeal their top priority,” Chocola added.  “And we urge all members to follow their lead toward a future of economic and health care freedom.”

The Club for Growth launched its Repeal It! campaign on January 14, 2010, before ObamaCare passed, to help build public support for undoing the federal health care takeover.  In 2010, more than 400 federal lawmakers and candidates signed the Repeal It! pledge, including 17 current U.S. Senators and 118 members of the House of Representatives.
