Bachmann Participates in Minnesota Hot Dish Competition

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (MN-06) joined her Minnesota colleagues today in a bipartisan hot dish competition to kick off the 112th Congress on a friendly note.

Bachmann remarked:

“As a mother of five and a foster mom of 23 I have served a lot of hot dish over the years and variations of every flavor appear on dinner tables all over our state. I’m pleased the Minnesota delegation is coming together at the start of the 112th Congress to join in this friendly competition. Though, we may not always agree on legislation, we can all agree we represent the greatest state, with the greatest hot dishes, in the union!”

Bachmann provided a dish titled “Minnesota Oktoberfeast” made of homemade sauerkraut, venison brats, German mustard, mushrooms, noodles and more, but the honor of best dish went to Senator Klobuchar’s Taconite Tater Tot Hot Dish. The event was hosted in Senator Al Franken’s office, and dishes were judged by former Congressmen Vin Weber (R-MN), Gerry Sikorski (D-MN) and MinnPost reporter Derek Wallbank.
