Race to Dubai Scenarios
Nov 25, 2010 (PRN): Graeme McDowell is the only player who can overtake Martin Kaymer in The Race to Dubai at the season-ending Dubai World Championship presented by DP World.
For McDowell to do that, one of the following scenarios has to unfold:
1. If McDowell wins the Dubai World Championship presented by DP World he will win The Race to Dubai regardless of Kaymer’s Finishing position.
2. If McDowell finishes second, Kaymer has to finish in a tie for third position with ONE other player, or worse, to be overtaken.
3. If McDowell ties second with one other player, Kaymer has to finish sixth, or worse, to be overtaken.
4. If McDowell ties second with two other players, Kaymer has to finish 11th or worse, to be overtaken.
5. If McDowell ties second with three other players, Kaymer has to be 19th or worse, to be overtaken.
6. If McDowell ties second with four other players, Kaymer has to be 41st or worse, to be overtaken.
7. If McDowell finishes in third place on his own, Kaymer has to be 21st or worse, to be overtaken.
8. If McDowell finishes tied third with one other player, Kaymer has to finish 52nd or worse, to be overtaken.
