'Anti Bullying Bill'
New Jersey/USA/ - November 21, 2010 -- Religious conference scheduled at the New Jersey State House this Monday by Rabbi C Isaach, Pastor Kedrick Brown, and Muslim activist Muhammad Elfalali uniting Jewish Christian and Muslim leaders against what they believe to be a threat to all public school children in New Jersey.
The meeting is to protest ASSEMBLY Bill Number 3466 and Senate Bill S2392 (the so called anti bullying bill) which would require all public schools and encourage private schools to make a special "Week of Respect" that would include discussing "sexual orientation, gender identity and expression" in regards to bullying with the students. In addition, it would put the above mentioned behaviors in to the curriculum year round. After Jewish Leaders were alerted about the bill by (a Christian) Greg Quinlan, the Jewish Leaders noticed that this bill sneakily put in the part about teaching the particulars categories (sexual orientation, gender identity and expression) in to the classroom.
The fact that such a law was put in, was actually expected due to the fact that the "Garden State Equality", the state's biggest gay lobbying organization wrote the bill. Similar laws in other locals have led to pro gay books such as "Heather Has Two Mommies", and And "And Tango Makes Three " (second on this year American Libraries Association most challenged books list) being included in their curriculum. After noticing this glaring problem, a group of Rabbis had a meeting with state Bob Singer a (cosponsor of the bill) explaining the problem with the bill and their concerns about what it would lead to. Senator Singer explained to the rabbis that the bill as sold, was mainly supposed to deal with cyber-bullying. The Rabbis suggested to Senator Singer different ways to stop cyber-bullying that has worked in Jewish schools. In a rare move after hearing the problem Senator Singer agreed not to vote for the bill and said that if he would have known about the part teaching about gays that not only would he never have cosponsored the bill, but, he would have gotten all of Ocean County State Senators not to sponsor the bill. Senator Singer's office also set up a room (committee room 3 in the annex Bldg.) for the religious press conference at 9:30-10:30 this Monday morning.
The vote also takes place Monday afternoon. This bill comes month's after a similar law mandating teaching about gays in schools in grades, as low as kindergarten, was passed in New York in a section that did not have an exemption for religious schools, continuing the fight across the country between the rights of the religious majority and gay minority.
At this meeting, Religious leaders are preparing a morality awareness campaign. They will be sharing their successful methods of protection from the dangers of Internet and other forms of technology including using technology to bully. Their hope and prayer to God is to save U.S. parents from being forced by the state legislature to respect behavior that the bible quotes as the cause of the great flood. As Rabbi Rosenblum states, when groups of people with their evil agendas are not stopped, this causes destruction (example: communism, Nazism and now liberalism) .
Hundreds of Religious schools throughout the country (and specifically in NY, NJ, Cleveland, Miami, Chicago as well as many others) have already adopted guidelines to protect their students from the above mentioned technological dangers, and bulling through technology which was the cause of the suicide of the Rutgers student. Guidelines include, providing filters such as the Jnet and monitoring systems such as Convenant Eyes and many others. They are also asking people to speak to the politicians to help stop what they call a gay education bill to indoctrinate innocent five year olds.
